Gynecologic Malignancies (Cancers in Female Reproductive Organs)

Cervical Cancer

Starts in the cervix (lower part of the uterus)
Cause: Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
Prevention: HPV vaccine, regular Pap smears
Treatment: Surgery, radiation, chemotherapy

Ovarian Cancer

Starts in the ovaries
Often diagnosed late
Symptoms: Bloating, abdominal pain, feeling full quickly
Treatment: Surgery, chemotherapy

Endometrial (Uterine) Cancer

Begins in the lining of the uterus
Common in postmenopausal women
Symptoms: Abnormal bleeding
Treatment: Surgery (hysterectomy), sometimes radiation or chemo

Vaginal and Vulvar Cancers

Less common
Linked to HPV in some cases
Treatment: Surgery, radiation

Genitourinary (GU) Malignancies (Cancers in Urinary and Male Reproductive Organs)

Prostate Cancer

Affects the prostate gland in men
Common in older men
Detected by: PSA blood test
Treatment: Surveillance, surgery, radiation, hormone therapy

Bladder Cancer

Starts in the bladder lining
Symptom: Blood in urine
Risk factor: Smoking
Treatment: Surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy

Kidney (Renal) Cancer

Often found accidentally on scans
Treatment: Surgery, targeted therapy, immunotherapy

Testicular Cancer

Affects young men (15–35 years)
Symptom: Lump in testicle
Highly curable
Treatment: Surgery, chemo
