Gynecologic Malignancies (Cancers in Female Reproductive Organs)

Cervical Cancer
  • Starts in the cervix (lower part of the uterus)
  • Cause: Human Papillomavirus (HPV)

  • Treatment: Surgery, radiation, chemotherapy
Ovarian Cancer
  • Starts in the ovaries

  • Often diagnosed late

Endometrial (Uterine) Cancer
  • Begins in the lining of the uterus

  • Common in postmenopausal women

Vaginal and Vulvar Cancers
  • Less common
  • Linked to HPV in some cases
  • Treatment: Surgery, radiation

Prostate Cancer
  • Affects the prostate gland in men
  • Common in older men
  • Detected by: PSA blood test
  • Treatment: Surveillance, surgery, radiation, hormone therapy
Bladder Cancer
  • Starts in the bladder lining

  • Symptom: Blood in urine

  • Risk factor: Smoking

  • Treatment: Surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy

Kidney (Renal) Cancer
  • Often found accidentally on scans

  • Treatment: Surgery, targeted therapy, immunotherapy

Testicular Cancer
  • Affects young men (15–35 years)
  • Symptom: Lump in testicle
  • Highly curable
  • Treatment: Surgery, chemo
